Okay, wow!!! Never in my life have I been so blindsided by a plot twist?! I am still totally reeling from this one, but I loved it!! I have to admit, I spent the entire book trying to figure it out, I knew I was missing something, but I didn't put the pieces together at all, and isn't that EXACTLY what all readers want out of a good thriller?
The two POVs were so much fun to read and try to piece together, and whatever you think the resolution of this book is going to be, I promise, you have not seen anything yet!!
I was so confused and on edge for the entire duration of this read. Thank you so much to NetGalley for allowing me to be an early reader for this one, and I can't wait for release and to start recommending this to my following!! Wow!!!
I generally only pick up a handful of thrillers a year. That being said. I would say as far as thrillers go, this one did the trick. It was suspenseful throughout, so nailed it. As for the main character. I found Anna's inner monologue annoying, considering she seems to always do the opposite of what she thinks she should be doing. Though I guess that added to the suspense. I hit the event horizon of the book around chapter 21. I needed to know what was going to happen next and how the book would end. I think that because I usually prefer murder mysteries, I was constantly trying to think of it from that point of view. It's much better if you just sit back and enjoy the ride. The twist was fantastic. I didn't expect it at all. I would certainly recommend this book.
