As a mother myself who also works with trees and has an affinity for the magic that is Mother Nature, I could be biased in my review on this book, but I don't think that's true. The memoir of Suzanne Simard is a beautiful story about using science to prove that we as humans don't know better than nature like we seem to think we do. Nature, like life, is about finding balance with what's around you and doing your best to overcome adversity, even when you can't see the outcome, by digging deep into your own inner strength while also accepting support from the people around you. This book made me laugh and cry. It made me enraged and hopeful. It's a story I've already shared with people I love and will continue to think and talk about as loud as I can for as long as I can. Thank you Suzanne for sharing all the ups and downs of your life and your research with us.

Book 3 in the "A Magical Creature" series by HDA Pratt, is a duel POV that follows Nimfa, the Rock Troll Queen, and Master, on of the male Rock Trolls and a potential mate for Nimfa. Still on her quest to reunite all the species Tylimantrica, Nimfa must also make the choice which rock troll she will choose to help them continue their race, all while making a battle plan. This book was a bit longer than the other 2 books in the series. We've left novella territory and entered novel territory. I loved the story and considering the ending, I can't wait to find out with happens next.

This fast paced read is book 2 in the "A Magical Creature" novella series by HDA PRATT. While Flighty (book 1) was a quest for self love, Nerdiver was a quest for a soulmate. I love that while the story of the forest as a whole is carrying on, we saw this next part from a different POV in order to get a separate piece of the puzzle. I'll be reading the next book to find out what happens.

Flighty was a super cute story about a fairy who doesn't fit in with his kind. I enjoyed that it wasn't overly complicated, but still a well rounded adventure. I really feel for Flighty and couldn't help but root for him. I fully did not expect the ending and can't wait to find out what happens next.

Still struggling in the beginning. Listening to the audiobook on this one. Hoping it picks up soon.

I generally only pick up a handful of thrillers a year. That being said. I would say as far as thrillers go, this one did the trick. It was suspenseful throughout, so nailed it. As for the main character. I found Anna's inner monologue annoying, considering she seems to always do the opposite of what she thinks she should be doing. Though I guess that added to the suspense. I hit the event horizon of the book around chapter 21. I needed to know what was going to happen next and how the book would end. I think that because I usually prefer murder mysteries, I was constantly trying to think of it from that point of view. It's much better if you just sit back and enjoy the ride. The twist was fantastic. I didn't expect it at all. I would certainly recommend this book.

This was a fun scifi adventure that's perfect for young readers. It was a fast paced quick read that jumped right into the action. It didn't spend too much time focused on world building or explaining small details. The story kept moving and kept you engaged and wondering what was going to happen next.
