1. This series is so addictive and bingeable. Once I start on these books I can't put them down. The pacing, the writing, the world, everything is so lush and atmospheric.
2. I was definitely caught off guard by the switch of main characters. It took me awhile to get on board, but I really ended up liking Arjun and Pippa as MCs and their romance.
3. But I'm not a big fan of the fact that the author decided to weave in their previous series, 3 books into this otherwise unconnected series. Because now I'm financially and mentally committed but have no desire to read the Wrath & the Dawn. So...... that's annoying.
4. Bonus! This audiobook is FANTASTIC. I absolutely adore Lauren Ezzo. She brings this entire story/world to life and I can't recommend the audio version of this series enough.
