The plot is quite similar to the first one, but this book is still a good read.

the most comedic moment was percy running across the battlefield yelling “i’m fine!” while a giant is chasing him and screaming bloody murder

    4.5 hearts, not stars.
So, it's not that I've outgrown Mr. Riordan books (I was very scared of this possibility). It was just a matter of not being able to connect with the Characters.
When in a book of 3 pov's you only like one and by the end even that pov is not entirely to your liking this suspicion is very valid. But I said to myself "hey! myself, the next one is a Percy one, we should see what happens then, right?"
Right! well done past me. Well done indeed.
Percy is as lovely as he's ever been, Zhang is also a lovely character. Hazel... I like her more than Piper al least, I hate that little chick Piper. Hazel I don't hate, I just found her pov to be the least interesting of the three, but that is not a sign of dislike. She was outshone by her two companions that's all. Overall, she's an amazing addition to the seven, the only ones I still don't like are Leo and Piper. These two are just... whiny and annoying. ugh.

With that ending I started The Mark of Athena right away and was pleasantly surprised by the Annabeth pov. So that means that I would at least be finishing book 3 in this series. Cool!

He can choke.
