Recs if you like The Society For Soulless Girls...

Books about asexuality, be they non-fiction or novels. Everyone should read at least one asexual book from time to time.

in progress - taking suggestions

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic / lesbian characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

dark academia books with queer and trans MCs

Is it healthy? Absolutely not. Am I going to look inward and unpack why I love it? Also no. Is it Gay? Definitely. Am I going to read books filled with obsession, rivalry, manipulation, betrayal, codependency, and dangerous sapphic longing? Obviously.

Creepy books made better because there are queer characters

Horror books that take place in boarding schools (or somewhere similar) for the most part. Because homework isn't bad enough already. Recommendations are always welcome!

A collection of sapphic fantasy books that I have seen recommended across tiktok

Retellings of all types from fairy tales to classics to myths and legends

Recommendations and suggestions welcome

as comprehensive a guide to ya horror as i can make it! work in progress, suggestions welcome ♡

All the YA Sapphic books that have been published (or at least most of them). The books in this list have at least one main character who is either a lesbian, bisexual or pansexual. I only put the first books in series.

Legends, ballets, poems, plays, classics, and everything else that does not fit with fairytales, folklore or mythology.

I have other lists for sapphic fairytale, folklore and mythology retellings!

Sapphic stories that have an unsettling, sinister, and generally off-putting vibe about them.

We need more rival lesbians!!!!!!!! Sapphic recommendations of any genre welcome 🫶🏻 Can be tame like an office rivalry, conflict of interest, all-out enemies of war and anything inbetween!

true dark academia that ranges from fantastical/supernatural to psychological literary fiction

All books include main characters that are sapphic. This includes trans and non-binary lesbians

"i do it for the girls and the gays, that's it"

Retellings of classics, fairy tales and myths with a queer twist

next up in the series is Ell Potter! they have a wide range, from litfic to romance to thrillers to cozy fantasy. named one of audible’s break out stars, Ell has a soothing voice and their cadence just scratches an itch in my brain in the best way. Like my last list, I’ve avoided Audible exclusives so everyone can access these titles through Libby, Hoopla, or Libro.fm.

anyone can spotlight any narrator they want at any time! 🫶
