Gargoyle monster romance but make it daddy. It's like two of my favourite genres did a fusion dance and I loved it. There's a heist involved as well but the main good thing is the beautiful relationship between a gargoyle and his baby girl plus his tail. Bravo Jillian Graves, bravo.
Bon-kers. Juliana (Jules/Baby Girl) and Titan (DADDY). Juliana is a former actress, struggling to make ends meet because her mom and manager stole all her $. She working as a Sugar Baby.
Meanwhile, Titan is a GARGOYLE, searching for a magic stone for a couple hundred years. Jules crosses paths with him by accident and they enter a business relationship, with sex and presents. He does take human form sometimes, but they have sex when he’s a giant gargoyle, and he uses his tail for stuff.
Jules has been in a legal battle for TEN YEARS, but doesn’t want help from Titan, who is very rich and has lots of resources, because of her pride. I think this is silly, but it’s a big plot point for Jules.
Lots of Daddy/Baby Girl stuff, so be aware or beware.
*Titan* is the book that made me realize I need to go outside and touch grass—because clearly, I’ve strayed too far from the light of God. This book dives so deep into dark, twisted dynamics that I found myself questioning not just the characters, but myself. It's a wild, boundary-pushing ride that will have you reflecting on your own psyche by the end.
The main character's daddy issues? Yeah, let's just say I should probably seek therapy after reading this. The power imbalances, obsession, and trauma explored in *Titan* hit way too close to home at times. It’s a story that drags you into the depths of depravity, yet keeps you hooked with its intense plot and complex relationships.
While it's undeniably well-written and emotionally gripping, *Titan* left me feeling like I need a spiritual cleanse. It's the kind of book that stays with you, but maybe not for the reasons you'd want. Proceed with caution—and perhaps schedule a therapy session afterward.
