Recs if you like Carl's Doomsday Scenario...

The Dungeon Crawler Carl series

A collection of litRPG (and progression fantasy) books that either sound good, are good, or might suck 😜

A not complete list of litRPGs. Let me know if I'm missing your favourite! Fun fact, I've had to add so many of these myself because they weren't on here

For lovers of Litrpg

I can't be the only one who want to remember all the books without jumping around in a video, right?

Do you, like me, often find yourself looking at a book cover thinking, "Y'all are doing waaay too much." Why are book covers so dang extra nowadays? Here are some books that appeal to me simply because they have covers that don't look like a 19 year old with Photoshop barfed a bunch of design elements on a book and called it a day. Some I've read, some are on the TBR. And to all the authors and publishers out there, K.I.S.S.

A fun collection of D&D like adventure books or after adventure stories

books who have the same style of covers; featuring bright hot or neon pink🩷 with neon yellow💛!

sadly, the default pagebound editions might not be the correct ones so you’ll have to look through the available editions. pagebound please let us choose</3

Dungeon Crawler Carl Series

Maybe they found a decomposing skull and described it in juicy detail and then the protagonist fires off a “guess he lost his head.” That kinda vibe.

Books mentioned in ToastyGoobus/Gab Smolders book talk videos in 2026

For when you want to play games but decide to read instead

(Please leave a comment for any other LitRPG to add! I need recommendations as this is slowly becoming one of my favorite genres)
