Fantastic!! I highly recommend How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Django Wexler! Easily one of my favorite books of last year and the sequel comes out this month.
Added! The genre is a lot of fun!
Level: Unknown by David Dalglish and Long Live Evil by Sarah Rees Brennan might also fit the bill for this.
I added level unknown, and TBR'd long live evil because it sounds really good, but seems to fit more in the high fantasy silo and not so much the litRPG subgenre but let me know if I'm missing something! Thank you for the awesome recs so far!
