When the Romans take Huevos y Bacon's son hostage, they discover that Little Pepe is a terrible handful. So maybe the legionnaires won't mind so much when Asterix and Obelix save him. But along the way there's lots of adventure, including Asterix inadvertently inventing the art of bullfighting.
