The character will either be the main character or a very important side character in the main cast that has a good chunk of story. This list spans genres, mediums, and cultures. This is in no way a complete list, but I have personally read all of them and give them all a full thumbs up

Romantasy but for the gays. Fantasy in this list includes: magic, fairies/fae, mythical, mystical, supernatural.

Some of them have romance at the center of the plot, some of them don’t. Either way, you won’t put them down.

(I’m not sure if The Wolf and his King really is a fantasy book since it’s also partly a historical novel and a retelling of a medieval story but I loved it too much to not put it here)
