Kenna recently moved to town and she's just trying to make a life. She gets a new job as the dispatcher for the fire and police departments. She runs into Jonah in a bar and he is grumpy with her. Jonah is a single dad with a young daughter. They end up making out, then Jonah wants to take her home. When they get to his house, Kenna realizes that she lives next door. Jonah is upset and tells her to go home. They find out when Kenna goes to work that Jonah is her boss. Jonah is trying to protect his daughter from the things he think will happen if her mother gets any custody back. Kenna confesses that her former boyfriend's brother stalks her and she may not be safe here for long.
