    Oh boo.

Usually I drip the good stuff for Eve Langlais but this didn't do it for me in any way shape or form. I started this on the 26th and I was all into it for a page and a half and then my mind started to wonder. So I put it down and did something else. Since then I have picked it up a handful of times and it just gets worse for me, the mind wondering that is. The book just isn't holding my attention.

I'm not sure why this is. I like the heroine so far, the hero seems intriguing and the premise and quirky like 'the Langlais' loves to do. But for me it's missing the pizzazz or sparkle that makes Langlais one of my favourite authors.

So what's a girl to do in this situation? Well I went and picked up [b:The Geek Job|11032366|The Geek Job|Eve Langlais|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1302194144s/11032366.jpg|15952303] by Langlais and I'm hoping that will work out better for me.

Sometimes this sort of thing happens. I'm not sure if it's how the book is written or if it's me, I want to say it's me because generally Langlais does a great job. Maybe it's the Death thing. Charlotte Featherstone [b:Seduction and Scandal|2604210|Trading Secrets Seduction and Scandal at the Wall Street Journal|R. Foster Winans|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nocover-60x80.jpg|2628856] has a heroine writes about Death and I can't get into that book either ... so ... maybe I need to talk to my therapist about this.

** I did end up finishing this book and enjoying it, but again, I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have expected from a Langlais book.
