I haven't read it, but I was under the impression that Erik is a man given different monikers and not literally death?
Oh yes, he's not literally death, my bad. He does look like a ghost in most musical adaptations but he's just a man who presents himself as a supernatural being so I guess it doesn't fit the criteria for the list
