Recs if you like Half Is More, Vol. 1...

Manga isn't just for kids! These are titles intended for more mature audiences, including my personal recs and influential, well-known and bestselling titles that are available in English. Whether it's frank discussions of mental illness, abuse, LGBTQIA+ issues, violence, sexuality, horror or dark fantasy, these are manga that either originally ran in seinen (young adult men) or josei (young adult women) magazines, or I've otherwise broadly categorized through research as "not for for kids."

They're here. This is a list of manga about adults in contemporary, non-fantasy settings. BL and GL are included here. SPOILERS: Actually some of them are unemployed as a plot point.

My favourite books by BIPOC authors in a range of different genres (though I primarily read fantasy and romance) (only first book for a series added, unless not directly linked)

BL, romance, fantasy, and everything in between - manga, manhwa, light novels, graphic novels, and comics. All my favourite stories and ones on my TBR. A mix of clean and spicy (only adding the first vol for each series)
