A Pale View of Hills

I’ve only read two books by Kazuo Ishiguro but one was enough for me to fall in love with his writing. Ishiguro has a way of concealing important plot points in plain sight, which I absolutely love. So unless you’re really paying attention, it’s easy to miss clues and important information on the characters and the plot. The ending of this book did surprise me as I really didn’t expect it. I’m not going to go into more details than that to avoid spoiling the book but I do wish though we got to see more of certain characters and for it to have spent a little more time during certain points of the story, just so we can have a clearer picture of the events happening then. All in all I quite enjoyed this book and only wish it was a bit longer. I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars, though it might change in the future because I want to try and reread this book soon with the knowledge that I have after finishing it.
