Books schools don’t usually teach (but should)
Books that would help educate children about various important history topics, social justice issues, and people different from themselves (ie disabled, queer, or neurodivergent people).
Recommendations are always welcome! Fiction and nonfiction are fine. I would prefer more modern book recommendations. I’d love if you could explain your reasoning for recommending a bit!

Red Carpet Reading List from The Librarians
The documentary The Librarians won the Emmy for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking at the 78th Emmy Awards. When Director/Producer Kim A. Snyder accepted the award, she was joined by 8 librarians featured in the film. Each librarian carried a banned book that personally impacted their lives. They designated these 8 books as their Red Carpet Reading List❤️
