Brian Howard's faith in his own talent never entirely waned even during those terrible last years when he was able to find little faith in anything else. He published only one volume of poems, a beautiful hand-printed edition of a hundred and fifty copies, printed in 1930 by the Hours Press in Paris, with elegant covers designed by Brian's closest friend, the early British Surrealist, John Banting.
