The only criteria for this list is that it has a queer character and takes place near or on Halloween. Most books are horror, romance (both mild and spicy), mystery, or thriller. I haven't read most of these so I welcome suggestions. Happy gay Halloween!

It's super hot outside and you're in the mood for summer slasher books and/or a lowkey mysterious fall vibe just like in the Gravity Falls summerween episode? Then this list is for YOU. 🙂‍↕️ Feel free to comment your own recs, I'll add those. 🫶🏻

– Halloweentown (1998) Books that are about, directly related to, or set during Halloween OR Spooky books specifically set during the month of October

Slasher - a subgenre of horror involving a killer or a group of killers stalking and murdering a group of people, often by use of bladed or sharp tools.

This is a big list of (almost) all slasher books (only first books in a series). As long as there is a killer(s), victims and blood, it counts!

Mind-boggling suspense, thrillers, and mysteries you just can't put down!
