Fantasy inspired by Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and/or Afghanistan (myths, setting, etc.)

Fiction and non-fiction in which a main character, prominent supporting character, or narrator is canonically/confirmed to be on the asexual (ace) spectrum.

Lately I’ve been craving that old school fantasy, but much more diverse than what you’d generally think of when you think of old school fantasy. So this list will be queer epic/high fantasy full of high stakes adventure and perhaps magic, but specifically that has the VIBES. vibes are essential.

As a note I haven’t read all of these books yet but I am making my way through them, and if any of them are not the match I think they are I’ll remove them (or feel free to comment to let me know!)

Sff with aromantic characters

Featuring books from different mythologies, some were invented by the authors and some are inspired by mythologies around the world! Some are fiction some non fiction! I haven’t read all, so if some are misplaced, you can say it! Also, I’m open for recommendations! This list also includes legends!

Sometimes reading a three part story across three books is rewarding. This is for books that fully commit to telling one story across three books, not books that started as 3 then bloated to more, or were originally a duology and then the author kept writing.
