Enjoy another Dirty British Romance by Talia Hibbert, author of Bad for the Boss. Christmas just got sexy… "There's a beast inside of me. I keep it caged. You drive it wild.” Cash Evans has come a long way since his troubled childhood, but all the wealth he's earned as a tattoo artist can't fix the hole in his heart. He knows that the sweet barista who haunts his dreams is off-limits... But life doesn't always go to plan. ”There isn’t a man on earth who could ruin me.” Bailey Cooper is determined to learn from her mother's mistakes. She's seen how cruel love can be, and she's not about to sacrifice her self-respect for a relationship. But when a bad boy with a heart of gold comes to her rescue, she finds herself wondering if this beast might just be her Prince Charming. Will these two lost souls find a happy ending under the tree this Christmas? Or is their love doomed to wither with the mistletoe? Merry Inkmas is a steamy Christmas romance starring a brooding, bad boy hero and a Black, BBW heroine. Be warned: this love is hot enough to melt any winter frost!

I wanted more overall: more emotional development on page, more pages, more depth: I liked this, I didn't *love* it.
-audio narration was okay: John had a weird voice, and it sometimes seemed like the accents were inconsistent?
- I was annoyed with the hot/cold that Cash was giving, but Bailey was lovely!--it felt like overall the character work wasn't as consistent as later T Hibbert books
-liked the inclusion of and the 'well-rounded-ness' of the main character's backgrounds
-feel like it's typical of TH books to have: main characters have reasons from their pasts that inform who they are, and they must confront that baggage and start to work on it together
(I get that's a big component in a lot of romance, but that theme is strong and traceable in her books)
-it felt to me like some scenes were cut short (or there were scenes missing), and I think this could have easily been a much longer book or the start of a series seeing so many of the characters we meet in this book
-Overall I'd say this one isn't super memorable; was good tension and good steam
-loved seeing Cash's family, both the dynamics and the love they freely show and give to include Bailey too
-almost felt like the first chunk (un through the quitting of the job) was a different piece than rest?
-definitely was atmospheric, gave good cozy Christmas vibes
-liked that so much representation/good topics were brought up--but more pages would have allowed for more discussion and rep): plus size Black heroine, sex-positive, queer homeless character, etc
-did feel like we were told how much these two felt drawn together-- there was definitely a spark there, but not a ton of emotional development or 'getting to know you' or falling in love shown on page
