You need to know what it is to be a slave before you can be a King.
This is the kind of deep stuff that I never expected to find in a children's book series.
There's nothing more satisfying than a fulfilling ending to an amazing series. I had so many emotions over this book. The ending was emotional and satisfying and amazing and I honestly cried. This might be a coming of age story, but even at 23, I can relate to this book so much. Maybe we really never stop coming of age. We always have stuff to learn about life and growing up.
I can't really put into words what a touching and amazing journey this has been.
What a wonderful, wonderful book series. I know for sure someday I'll buy a beautiful boxed set of these books and read them with my children. This is the kind of story that sticks with you forever.
