It took me a week to read this book. I don't know if it was me or the book, I'm going with me. I was in the mood for a fun read and then I was over it about 50% in. The physical chemistry was there, the emotional? IDK I didn't feel it. It was spicy and funny, I just think it was right book, wrong time. I skipped over the last 100 pages, I was over it!

Chapter 16....Halsey, the man that you are!

This was my favorite in the series. The banter between adult make hockey players, even in text messages, is unmatched. If a book makes me laugh out loud in public places, and then makes me cry, that is a 5 statlr read for me.

Are we just going to ignore how absolutely selfish all of Blakely's "friends" are? Girl should have taken the $300k salary and moved to LA the second she got the offer. Halsey can follow her there and leave behind everyone else meddling in their business for their own benefit.

There was no dry humping in this book which automatically makes it better than the only other Meghan Quinn book I've read, but her writing style and the way she does the miscommunication trope just isn't for me. I dont want to be stressed out because the MC's refuse to have a 5-second convo that would resolve 99% of the conflict lol

i have been excited for halsey's book since the first one but not that im disappointed but i didn't like some parts, where i thought the author kinda rushed the scene and the develop with his family idk felt like we know he doesn't really talk to his parents and his older brother after loosing his twin, his family was in ruins but when he wanted to connect with them, i felt like it was rushed and i needed a little bit more of it or at least him with his brother but overall i loved blakely and halsey's banter and connection and the development of their feelings, from kinda strangers to roommates to friends to lovers and getting to know each other and finally blakely looking at halsey with other eyes and getting feelings for him because that man was already there since the beginning they were so hot and so cute and at first so awkward but in a funny way and i love them and blakely being there for him no matter what and having the job of her dreams with the man of her dreams she didn't know she truly needed it was good!
just a little bit disappointed that's all and now posey just needs his happy ending i will definitely read his book soon!!
