It's Hiccup's birthday, but that's not going to keep him from getting into trouble. To save his dragon, Toothless, from being banished, Hiccup must sneak into the Meathead Public Library and steal the Viking's most sacred book. But the Vikings see books as a dangerous influence, and keep them locked up and under heavy guard. To save his friend, Hiccup must brave the Hairy Scary Librarian and his dreadful army of Meathead Warriors and face off against the formidable Driller-Dragons. Will he make it out and live to see his next birthday?

Once again, Cressida Cowell does not disappoint! I have thoroughly enjoyed every page of this series so far.

The actual story in this book is a lot shorter than the others because there's a big chunk in the back made up of dragon profiles and a dragonese dictionary, which are both fun and adorable. Despite being shorter, this installment has all the charm of the first five.

Toothless wreaks more havoc, Camacazi is up to her usual burgling antics, Fishlegs plays the reluctant sidekick, and Hiccup once again saves the day by thinking on his feet. SUCH a fun read! Looking forward to How to Ride a Dragon's Storm!
