Sherlock meets Veronica Mars meets Ferris Bueller's Day Off in this story of a wisecracking girl who meets a weird but brilliant boy and their roller-coaster of a semester that's one part awkward, three parts thrilling, and five parts awesome. When Philip Digby first shows up on her doorstep, Zoe Webster is not impressed. He's rude and he treats her like a book he's already read and knows the ending to. But before she knows it, Digby—annoying, brilliant and somehow...attractive? Digby—has dragged her into a series of hilarious and dangerous situations all related to an investigation into the kidnapping of a local teenage girl. A kidnapping that may be connected to the tragic disappearance of his own sister eight years ago. When it comes to Digby, Zoe just can't say no. Digby gets her, even though she barely gets herself. But is Digby a hero, or is his manic quest an indication of a desperate attempt to repair his broken family and exercise his own obsessive compulsive tendencies?A romance where the leading man is decidedly unromantic, a crime novel where catching the crook isn't the only hook, a friendship story where they aren't even sure they like each other—this is a contemporary debut with razor-sharp dialogue, ridiculously funny action, and the most charismatic dynamic duo you've ever met. From the Hardcover edition.

Thank you OwlCrate for introducing me to this book! I loved it from start to finish. It has humor, mystery, and everything in between.
Zoe just moved into a new neighborhood and she isn't sure that she is going to like all these changes in her life. She wasn't the most popular girl at her old school, but at this new public school she can't seem to fit in with anyone. One day though, she opens her door to find a young man in a suit that is too big for him asking her about all the selfies she takes each morning (yes, he was spying on her from the street). Meet Digby: amateur sleuth, Mr. Nobody, little bit of a weirdo, and all around snoop.
Digby throws Zoe off; she isn't sure if she should be afraid to be around him or to be seen with him, or if she should just embrace the weird and quirkiness that is Digby. The two create a friendship (if you can call it that at first), and Zoe find herself sucked into the mystery that Digby is trying to solve: where did fellow classmate Marina disappear to?
Digby, Zoe aka "Princeton", and heartthrob Henry get into many different situations as they try to uncover the mystery surrounding Marina. Digby is persistent, funny, annoying, and charming making it hard to not fall for him and wonder where he will pop up next (literally). I highly recommend this for both girl and boy readers, teens that love mysteries or are looking for a funny read too. It has a little bit of everything. LOVED it!
What a cute, quirky book! I had a lot of fun reading this book. I loved what a jerk Digby was. I loved that Henry and Zoe weren't a romantic thing! I loved that Zoe was spunky, original, and completely herself the whole book through. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I felt like it was too abrupt. I think that Zoe should have been angry at Digby longer. I think that Digby himself needed more of an explanation too.
