    My Thoughts
I am officially obsessed with Sarah MacLean's historical romances! This sequel was even more amazing than book 1 in my opinion! I have no idea how the author is going to redeem the duke in book 3 but I trust them completely.

There was so much I loved about this sequel!

But at the top of the list is definitely Hattie's character! I absolutely loved Hattie as a main character! She was so strong and sure of what she wanted. Too often heroines in historical romances are passive, but Hattie was the total opposite. She was strong willed, determine, and way ahead of her time. She stood her own in a society designed to belittle women. We stan a tenacious and intelligent heroine!

The romantic tension and back and forth between the main characters are what romance dreams are made of. The drawn out will-they-won't-they is exactly what I love in my romance books. For every step forward they took, something would come between them and push them apart. Their chemistry was electric and I had all the butterflies whenever they were together. Sarah MacLean can write some amazing romance scenes and I was living for it.

Wit's grunting was definitely a little much at times. And I found myself eye-rolling at times as it carried throughout the book. However I did think his character went through a lot of growth throughout this book. He's possessive and overly-protective but Hattie definitely pushes back against his alpha behaviors. I thought the final scene in the hospital was a little much and little corny, but I also didn't hate it.

I have absolutely no idea how the author is going to pull off book 3, but after loving these first 2 books I have full faith that I will be swooning by the end. I can't get enough of Sarah MacLean's romances! They have such powerful female heroines and rough and tumble heroes and I can't get enough!

Hattie is everything I never needed. This book is perfection for me today.

I just love the world and I love set up. The not actual part of the aristocratic line. This blew me away and I can't wait to put my words into better order to discuss this amazing book.
