The Wife Between Us

Looking for a twisty thriller for your book stack? I have a feeling that you will really enjoy, The Wife Between Us. This is the type of book that keeps you on your toes as the plot takes you down many different rabbit trails only to realize it isn't what you had thought all along.

Nellie thought she had the perfect marriage with Richard until she didn't. Down on her luck and struggling financially to keep up, she discovers that Richard is engaged to be married again, really shortly after the end of her own marriage. Nellie becomes obsessed with this woman and talking with her and the reader is left guessing from start to finish just why it is so important that Nellie connect with his new wife.

Everything is not as it is seems, as all good thrillers should be, and this one had surprise after surprise. This dynamic writing duo really pulled together a fantastic 24-hour escape that you won't be able to put down.

This book kept me hook from the 1st page to the very last. I was shocked at the ending.

I found the first part of this book confusing and purposely misleading...especially after the reveal in Part 2. I felt the writers were trying too hard to create mystery and suspense & I could see some of the twists coming...but I will admit I was surprised by the last twists at the end.

Absolutely loved this book! The twists keep me on edge right til the end.

This was so predictable. It’s basically The Girl on The Train but somehow worse. This whole thing was ridiculous - the more I read, the more preposterous it became.

3.5 stars. Is this what they mean by "slow burn"? There are many layers to this story, which is done well. The story is told patiently but not in a bad way... it just didn't blow my mind.
I did not totally see it coming but I had an inkling. Was the epilogue necessary? It just adds another layer, if you are into that. I have one unanswered question (how crazy is the sister?) Otherwise things wrap up pretty nicely.
