The Twisted Dead (Gravekeeper, #3)

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

Keira is ready for her life to return to normal. Though, to be fair, normal is a tall ask when your ability to see ghosts has landed you the job of groundskeeper in a small town’s cemetery. When Keira receives an invitation to dinner at Dane Crispin’s crumbling ancestral estate, she knows she can’t refuse. The last living descendant of the Crispin family is reclusive. Keira only met him once…on the night he tried to kill her. The mansion is steeped in history that is equal parts complicated and bloody. Keira senses the presence of restless spirits the moment she steps through its door. And Dane, waiting for her inside, wants to ask for her help.

I thought this was going to be the last book in this series but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I'm actually pretty happy about that because I am loving this series. The characters are great, I love their found family aspect and how quirky they all are. The setting is getting better and better with every book. The addition of Dane Crispin and all of his family drama really set this book off on a great foot.

We got more of Mason's backstory this time and a smidge more about Zoey as well. We also found out more about Keira's past but all three of them still have more to discover! I'm looking forward to seeing more of what kinds of spooky trouble these three friends can get into in the future.

I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Kiera and her friends have found another mystery to solve while being surrounded by ghosts and a mysterious group that wants to silence her forever. I enjoyed this book as we uncover more about Kiera's past and her powers to help/hinder ghosts. These books are a good mix of mystery, horror, and friendship. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.
