Am i the only one who hates Conrad? Gosh, idk why. I just hate him, okay! Team Jere here! But, Susannah! Laure's beck! She will die, right? Huhu.Yes, i gave 4 stars bc of Taylor hahaha she's just so lovely though she's kinda annoying (every time, i think) and i like her name okay! uhm, idk what to say with Belly's character. She's always thinking of Conrad! I hate her for that! I mean, come on! Is she blind? Hey, Jere exists! Hello?! And i like to call her BELLE instead of Belly. Steven and Claire Cho? They look cute together, yeah on the second book.
It was very enjoyable until it wasn't. I prefer the TV series a thousand times.
I remembered reading this in high school so I wanted to go back a reread before I watched the new amazon series. I loved this book, Jenny Han makes super cute coming of age romances that are easy to read. I’m upset the ending didn’t give me exactly what I wanted, but it was still a great story.
I liked this book but sometimes I got a little bit tired of Belly's behaviour, I definitely understood what the boys meant with the pouting thingy. I also disliked her behaviour towards Cam, he didn't deserve that. The ending was really unexpected, well, in my eyes. Even though the ending was unexpected, I really liked that part of the story. The throwbacks were something I disliked, they didn't add something to the story at all.
3.4/5
I want to start out by saying, I definitely would have resonated more with this as a teenager. I was not a fan of Belly, so it was hard to connect with her. I think Han did a good job blending teen drama with real-life issues as well. There were highs and lows that I think alot of young readers will connect with. I couldn't help remembering my Sarah Dessen summer reads. Great, and quick beach read or for fans of coming of age.
Easy and fun beach read
I typically read smut or spicy books so this was a little tame for me. I read it because I binge watched the season and loved it. This book help me get out of my reading funk! Super easy to read and since I watched the series it helped with the visuals more.
