    4.25/5.

Throughout this series, you keep hearing that Lyon Redmond (a name only a truly hot man can have) disappeared years ago, probably because Olivia Eversea crushed his heart so badly he could only flee into the night and possibly die. That is mostly what happened, except for the almost dying part, and just like a man, Lyon swoops in once he hears she's actually about to marry someone else, all "I'm a social justice pirate now" and "but have you ever had an orgasm in a caaaaave?"

Naturally, Olivia remains WIDE open for business.

    Highlights include:

—one of the most dramatic reveals I've ever read that did make me go, "Oh WOW, you were REALLY risking it"

—Lyon coming in his pants and following it up with "I mean just to be clear there are also good things I can do for you... to be... clear...."

—a very controversial epilogue that I didn't mind, actually
