Brett is seriously clueless. He’s a great friend and a great father to his little girl, but how could he not realize after all this time that I’m gay? And I’m in love with him? I know I’ve never said anything, but I feel like I’m pretty obvious. Now I messed up and made a tipsy bet with him about a blow job that I really don’t want to take back. I’m not sure if it was a mistake though. It might be just the nudge our friendship needed. There’s only one problem. Considering how homophobic his family is, what will happen if they find out that our relationship has changed?

Brett and Andy are best friends. Brett is a single dad who is divorced and his best friend is Andy who has just returned to his hometown. Andy is gay and has had a crush on Brett for a long time, but Brett is either clueless or has pretended not to notice. One drunken bet that Andy actually wants to make good on and maybe their relationship is changed forever. It remains to be seen if that will be good or bad. The biggest obstacle it seems their new relationship would face is the bigotry of friends and family members.
This is a sweet story really, but the bigotry of the family, especially Brett's mother is over the top. It was so nice to see them gain support from their friend network, though.
