Recs if you like The Last Best Quest Ever...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

Fantasy books with queer rep

Romance books to read for the aesthetic (usually cartoon covers because I’m trash for character art)

D&D-esque inspired list. Ive seen a bunch but not exactly what I was looking for, which is essentially, "rag-tag team of misfits with different powers/strengths go on a quest and get into shenanigans" I.e. Legends and Latte wouldn't fit here because they're not questing. Also avoiding lit r.p.g like Dungeon Crawler Carl cause that feels like cheating 😝

It's summer time in the northern hemisphere, which means R&R! For the southern hemisphere, it means cozy quiet time. Either way, this list is for you: low-stakes books, easy to pick up and put down, that make for enjoyable light reading! And of course, all have one or more queer characters. (This list is presented by Duck Prints Press, the indie publisher focused on publishing queer art and stories by queer creators! A group of us collaborate to make these recommendations.)

Cozy ‘the D&D party’s journey between the adventures’, Retired Adventurers, Western Isekai?, and Contemporary Nerd Romance Recs involving Online RPG, TTG, and Girls in STEM.

A list of the YA books published in 2026. Please comment if any are missing.
