Recs if you like Hild ...

in progress - taking suggestions

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic / lesbian characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Stories that tell the tale of sapphic life and love throughout time

For all those recovering anglophiles that aren’t trying very hard to recover. This is a collection of books that depict England in either a fantasy setting or otherwise unconventional. Suggestions super welcome :)

novels inspired by the Medieval period (though there are a few that are more Renaissance era)

Books on my TBR with LGBTQIA+ characters or themes.

If you tell me it's political fantasy, I don't need to hear more, thank you

(I might add a few historical fiction as well if it's heavily political -in my opinion, or if it's recommended as such)

Historical fiction in medieval or early modern settings, from the court of Henry VIII to medieval monasteries.

The Romans have gone but we are here and we are queer.

This list reserves the right to interpret Medieval and Britain loosely. And also reality, some of these books contain fantasy elements but all are based in real places.

Recommendations welcome.

A list no one asked for and no one needs! But there’s something so atmospheric and aesthetically pleasing about trees with no leaves on them. So here’s a long list of just that on the cover of books! You’re welcome.

Books about or stories of women in history, fictional, real, or in-between!

Become one with the moss, the ferns...

Books with intricate, immersive descriptions of the forest, where it's a character unto itself. Books that make you want to lie in the underbrush and stare at the canopy. Books that root you to the earth and remind you where you came from.

Taking recs! See comments for details.
