Recs if you like Desperate Measures...

it’s bisexual+ awareness week!!!!!! love to see representation in romance books and here’s a collection of them!! whether you’re a member or an ally, everyone is welcome 🫶

but the jury is out on the actions of their brat tamer🧎‍♂️‍➡️are we in an elevator cause these MCs are ready to push all the buttons for a crumb of punishment in return 🙂‍↕️ the way they run their mouth you would think they were in a marathon 🏃

being told to watch your mouth is a challenge, not a threat—don’t forget that 😌

I love reading romances between men and women where one or both of the characters are bi because it shows the potential of bi people to fall in love with any gender, if that makes sense. So often bi people in “straight” relationships don’t get clocked as LGBTQ+ and I like seeing how they make a “straight” relationship queer. It’s also nice to read about LGBTQ+ outside of achillian and sapphic stories and spaces. I’m always on the hunt for more.

romance books with free use / CNC scenes inspired by @PowahWom

essentially, the MC is giving up their body to be used for sex at the whim of the other person(s). free use can occur without consent but have tried my best to include majority of titles with explicit consent planned before or during the activities.

in the words of Shakira, “Whenever, wherever”

if a safeword is established, i want to see it get used and i want the angst and the comfort and the negotiation!

aka. books in which a character uses their safeword

(may also include books with the partner noticing discomfort and stopping without explicit safeword usage)

Want to start reading dark romance but unsure which book to start? These are good starters before diving into more darker themes!

Fairy tale Retelling ranging from YA to Adult (will be updating as I come across them)

Female protagonists (or antagonists) who bring a burning rage, iron will, or anything they damn well please to the plot.

tried to get all their books from regular shows and the live show & patreon episodes on here - if i’ve forgotten any of them, please lmk!!

This one is for all the dark romance readers. Some of the books on this list are considered to be pitch black on the dark romance scale. But if trigger warnings call to you, give them a look and dive in.

my favourite dark romances

Only one rule: there is a snake on the cover. It doesn’t have to be a specific genre, it doesn’t have to be a specific age group, it doesn’t even need to be a good book.

Bonus points if it’s the original book snake!

After following the amazing antics of OfficialHellsBelles on Instagram, I have made a list of the books and authors mentioned.

Also read Jaysea Lynn’s For Whom the Belle Tolls! 💜

Updated note: several books are missing, but I requested them from the librarians. I also skipped all the Sarah J Maas books.

Retellings and reimaginings of different fairytales, folklore, and legends (only adding the first book for each series)

Romances in which all members of the relationship kick ass physically and/or intellectually. Open to recommendations.
