This was heavy going. Description so dense that I found myself reading pages without taking in any information. Some nice poetic touches but for such a slim novel this took me an AGE to read. Mostly because I kept putting it down and not wanting to pick it back up.
Some interesting ideas in here but my enjoyment wasn't helped by the fact that The Martian is still fresh in my mind. I loved that book and this is a VERY different take on a trip to Mars. Ever so slightly less scientifically accurate, although bit unfair to to blame C S Lewis for not being psychically aware of future scientific developments, and in any case, scientific accuracy is not the point of the story.
An interesting idea maybe, but not necessarily an enjoyable read.
