[3.5] freida mcfadden does not disappoint once again!! i was so convinced i had it this time, and so frustrated i did in fact, not have it. i think this book was a little more than a typical thriller, as due to the themes of sociopaths vs. psychopaths, that ending really is open to interpretation and invites you to question the whole plot and how much of it was true. slay.
I somehow didn't see the twist coming and yet this book was just mediocre for me. I suppose I just wasn't really that invested in the story.
3.75 rounded down
This is the first book of Freida where I kind of saw the plottwist coming, but it was still very good!
This is a nice short, quick read. It’s full of twists, tension, mystery, and more and it’s just so easy to get though. The whole time you’re left trying to figure out who took Olivia and will have you questioning what you know. The one thing that’s stopping to from being 5 stars is that there is a point where it becomes obvious who the perpetrator is. I still absolutely recommend this is you’re looking for a quick thriller.
I think I read or watch too many crime books and shows…
This book felt like I had either read or watched this entire storyline before..
Another Frieda read. It was good, although predictable from early on. A quick read, still one I’d recommend but not her best work.
“Nearly all serial killers are likely psychopaths, but not all psychopaths become killers.”
