Recs if you like Dragonwyck...

A list of 100 gothic classics which covers over 250 years of literature, from the high-drama castles of the 1700s to the psychological "New Gothic" of today.

I had no idea where to start with reading classics, so these are all the books/tips I received from fellow PB members. I hope these can help other as well

1. Some books have podcasts or to go with it, you can listen alongside the book. (Dracula)
2. Read abridged versions of the books (Frankenstein)
3. The Hardcore literature club on yt has some great tips
4. Start with younger classics and work your way backwards.
5. Look at the original genre of the book.
6. For Shakespeare, the website No Fear Shakespeare makes the text a more modernized version
7. Sometimes having background information on the author and the time can help you understand certain parts of the book more

Books with covers by Geoff Taylor the fantasy and sci-fi artist and illustrator. If you've read any fantasy books from the 70s/80s there's a good chance you recognise his work!
