Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

On the verge of realizing her dream of being a doctor, Preeti Patel should be ecstatic. But between the stress of her residency, trying to find a job, and managing her traditional, no-boundaries family, Preeti's anxiety is through the roof. Relationships and love aren't even an option. Fortunately, Preeti's finally found a new place to stay . . . only to discover that her new roommate is her ex. Preeti never quite got over Daniel Thompson. Super-hot, plenty of swagger, amazing cook—the guy is practically perfect. And if it weren't for their families, there might have been a happily ever after. But it's hard to keep her sanity and libido in check when the man of her dreams is sleeping mere feet away. Can Preeti and Daniel find a way to stand up and fight for each other one last time . . . before they lose their second chance?

Okay so I loved the first book in the series. BUT this book missed the mark for me. I can't believe it was written by the same author. I still really enjoyed the book but it just felt different. One of my main issues with it was the fact that the sexual comments were EXCESSIVE. I understand that the main character had a healthy attraction towards her love interest but omg it seemed as though 90% of the book was just describing how sexy the character looked. My other issue was the fact that there wasn't really a plot. I get what the author was trying to do but the whole book was just Preeti going to work and coming home avoiding Daniel while commenting how much she wanted him. The issues on why they broke up didn't really contribute to any of the story. The ending wasn't great either because it didn't feel like an ending. I wish we could have seen more of Daniel's dad but again the main story plot was a just a small mention and not the actual story.
