Recs if you like Howl: An Anthology of Werewolves from Women-in-Horror...

“When I needed temperance, I grew only teeth.”

• Inuu Comic by Dionne_Ong

A woman is a docile thing, tame and obedient. Man’s best friend becomes woman’s unlikely mirror. Yet they both bear fangs, and will bite when threatened.

These books explore the tension between domesticity expected of women, and the ways that the men in their lives abuse, demean, and belittle their labor while benefiting from it. And how the rage those women feel boils over until the dog remembers—it was once a wolf.

Some of these Ive read and some I havent yet. I've just noticed a pattern and wanted to share. Partially inspired by the lovely list 'Queer Anthologies' by kathytrithardt !! Always open to suggestions!

We have the classic, the historical, the scientific or would you like them sitting like a Sphinx?
