“When I needed temperance, I grew only teeth.”
A recent trend I've noticed in the horror/thriller genre of women who are paralleled with dogs, are dogs, act as dogs, or otherwise pull inspiration from the canine. Typically in a way which channels female rage through questions of personhood, submission, violence, and breaking the tethers that bind her.

Oh hey! My book (The Awakening of Lora Abernathy) fits this! The main character is a werewolf & i explore themes of disability, family expectations, and feminine rage
And it's on an essential trans reading list? You got me, instantly adding it to my TBR!!
May I suggest Such Sharp Teeth by Rachel Harrison. Modern day girl turn werewolf story 🐺👌
If you'll accept graphic novels, i just finished Of Swamp & Sea volume one and it would totally fit!!
