Now that is a way to finish. I always wonder how authors who aren’t going full on dark are going to finish a mafia type book in a satisfactory way. Well now I know.
We know what happened to Memphis’ father and her bio mother. We know her unexpected connection to this world that kept drawing her in. We know how Canon is going to be the man he wants to be but also keep the family out of hands that will turn the streets into a killing field.
I knew there was something up with the easy friend but I was surprised at what it was. It was fun to see the characters from the other books that I knew, especially Eden and her man.
I enjoyed the story and there was enough drama and craziness to make it believable without the mafia taking over the entire story.
