"I may go away, sometimes. But as long as it's in my power, I'll always come back."

Well, here we are, the final book in The Devoured Worlds trilogy. I spent the last 5 days binging this series and I'm so sad to have finished it but also so happy because it means that Tarquin and Naira can finally be left alone. It's really rare for me to rate every book in a series 5 stars, but every book in this one deserves it.

Throughout the series, we went from the Sixth Cradle, to being on ships and stations, and now here we are, on the Seventh Cradle. The environment is completely different to any we've seen so far, and our characters are busy building a new settlement, and with it, a new world. After the defeat of canus, they want to change the world for the better, get control out of MERIT's hands, and do better for everyone. As usual though, nothing can be easy, and new and old threats emerge, causing chaos all around.

There were so many twists and turns I wasn't able to predict in this book, but they were all done so well! I was worried because it was the last book in the series and there were so many plot points that needed wrapping up, but the author was able to do so amazingly. I didn't think anything could be as world ending as canus, but here we are.

Although I love the plot, characters are always the most important thing in a story to me, and the ones in this series? They're written so well. You love them, you hate them, you're conflicted on how you should feel. There's character redemption, and then there's also the opposite. Don't even get me started on the last 50 pages of this book. I was crying so much that my throat was closing up and I had to keep putting the book down because I couldn't see through my tears. I'm so sad to be finished with this series and with these characters stories.

This is one of my new favourite series, and I'm very excited to re-read it in the future. There's so many things that, now knowing how it ends, I think I'll have an easier time picking out. Thank you for the amazing characters and journey Megan E. O'Keefe!
