Of course, this isn't the only recommendation list out there for the Trans Rights Readathon. I encourage everyone to check out all the different lists! This list is made up of books I've personally enjoyed, am currently reading, or plan to read (so this is pretty tailored, lol). I'll keep editing this list as I finish books and find more books I want to read. Everything here is either written by a trans author and/or features trans main characters/focuses on trans issues.

Because i think the authors repping their own work day in & out on tiktok should get some more love <3

New books releasing in October of 2025! Trad & indie, marginalized authors prioritized

Books where one protagonist calls another protagonist "dove" or "little dove" as an endearment (usually with heavy romantic text/subtext) (With an exception for Prince & Pawn by Tavia Lark because "little bird" has the same feel)

These good books can fit sooo many religious trauma vibes in them 😅✌🏻

books with unique formatting, books you can play like a game, books you need to take apart and put back together again, stories-within-stories, books containing found documents and ephemera, etc.
