The longer Ben stays missing, the more Jess starts to dig into her brother’s situation, and the more questions she has. Ben’s neighbors are an eclectic bunch, and not particularly friendly. Jess may have come to Paris to escape her past, but it’s starting to look like it’s Ben’s future that’s in question. 3.5- engaging, good mystery parts about it but couldn’t give it 4
Lots of telling, not showing. Character personalities revealed through the character telling us what they were made up of. Always awkward feeling.
The plot and suspense was pretty good, so I’d still recommend this as a book if you just want a book that’s not boring!!
can we say flop era???? sorry but this was pure hell. i’m all for a slow solve but this was slower than molasses running uphill in january. so slow that there seemed to be very little “gotcha” type twists. so much time between reveals that you’ve forgotten the little details. I loved the guest list so i’m disappointed that this one was a drag.
