I love it when women
...are unhinged, lonely, tortured, kooky, crazy, unmoored, yearning, plotting, stalking, monologuing, self-pitying, lost, etc.

Weird and Unhinged Women 2.0
All sorts of stories about all sorts of women and girls.
This is a genre-agnostic mega-list of weird girl* fiction expanding on an original list by @yarnandbooks (no longer being updated). You can view the original list here: (link) /// As a nonbinary person, I take as broad a view as possible of the "girl" in "weird girl*", hence the asterisk.
Wide open for recommendations!
Weird is the name, and confusing is the game
This list will contain books that made me go, "Wait what?" I am still not sure if I completely get them but I i think I semi-liked some of them 🤣 (p.s. I am adding recs by other users so some i havent read yet)
Weird and Unhinged Women
All sorts of stories about all sorts of women. Mostly litfic, some horror.
A spectacular fiasco of found family
This list is about fictional families which break your heart, make your heart and reveal parts of you, you never knew existed. Its about love and dysfunction and how they often come packaged together.
Between two books
Books from the Florence and the Machine book club @betweentwobooks on IG
(I am not the book club admin, just a fan, and these are not all the books but I will add them all in soon, I promise)
“You love a vibe… even if the vibe is despair.”
Because my friend said this after reading one of my recs. Literary fic with more ✨vibes✨ than plot or when the book’s vibe feels like the main character
weird messy creepy litfic 🕷️
The moment my eyes opened to a new reality
These are all the books that changed my life and the way that I view the people and cultures around me.
