Recs if you like The Risk...

Thanks to Madhoney for giving me the title. These are some of the books I love where women decide to rid the world of scum in creative and not so gentle ways.

Unhinged men, complicated power dynamics, and love that feels dangerous but irresistible. These stories are messy, intense, and emotionally consuming — not for the faint-hearted, but impossible to stop reading. Enter only if you like your romance dark, addictive, and a little bit feral.

Please note that dark romance isn’t for everyone, and always make sure to check the trigger warnings beforehand ❤️ Your mental health matters!

Romances where the FMC has been victim of SA and is now healing and learning how to trust again or is assaulted 🍇 in the book itself and the after is part of the plot as well.

(Added some content to the recs in the comments. Please do your own research into the potential triggers as well before diving into any of these as some are quite dark.)

Books about female serial killers because we support women's wrongs as much as women's rights.

My fave books in the dark romance genre!

Here's a list of dark romance books! It includes mafia romances, to, what I'd consider, just dark romance! It includes all books I've read (whether it's a dnf or a reread) and some that have been on my tbr for some time but seem good! Ps: I won't recommend books that portray themselves as dark romance in excuse to write/romanticise sexual violence or rape, that isn't dark romance, just authors that want an excuse to being weird.

Romances not for the faint of heart. The darker, the better.

All kinds of taboo Standalones or first in the series only. Feel free to suggest others, I'm open to any and only ask that it not involve graphic triggers with children.

Everyone has a secret. Whether it's to hide from someone, advance in life, or bury their past, these protagonists or the people close to them have kept their true identities a secret. And something like that never comes back to haunt them, right?

Most of these books were popular on TikTok. Mostly dark romance, but some are different.

Thrillers id recommend

I bought a Kindle, and here are known romances series, that you can get on KU, and which I enjoyed a loooooot! Each novel is the first of the series.
