Meh. I was hoping for a much better story than what this was. Biggest issue I had: Gabriel asks Everly if she likes oral sex, she says no, he forces himself on her anyway: UM NO. SHE SAID NO. I should have stopped reading there but I continued because I really like Everly, she was a badass VP of Cybersecurity but the story never got better. The sex scenes were forced, not very well written, and riddled with consent issues. I only finished the book because I wanted to know who killed Maddox and that wasn’t resolved so I guess I will never really know because I will NOT be reading the other books in the series.
