Living with a brain tumour, reading for therapy, mum of two, optimist, too old to read YA. My Gran used to get me Mills&Boon books from the library when I was off school sick and it stuck with me.

Hmmm wasn’t so sure about this one. The last half dragggged. Also I find the way Kresley writes the Scottish dialect phonetically really irritating. I’ve already read (and thoroughly enjoyed) the next book in the series so I think I’ll have a break now then crack on with Cade’s book.

“What’s your favourite place to visit?”

    “Wherever you are”

THAT’S MORE LIKE IT BOWEN 😍

"I don't feel like I have a pre-owned soul. And fur-thermore, I like myself. Other than some late-blooming magickal powers and some sealed legal records, I think I'm pretty fucking nifty. Yet you would just wipe me out entirely?"

"You would no' be wiped out. Just different."

Bowe you absolute LUMMOX! You don’t deserve her!

I’m afraid I found this incredibly tedious and repetitive. The characters had no redeeming features either. My third Coldbreath and I think it will be my last.

“Rampant shaft” and “staff” used to describe Nye’s cock within a couple of paragraphs of each other?!

Over halfway in and I’m still waiting for Nye to stop being an awful dickhead. Absolutely NO redeeming features to speak of thus far.

A beautiful memoir, made all the more wonderful by listening to Minnie read it herself. I’ve always thought she seemed like a lovely human and I’m glad I was correct!

The final chapter about losing her mum had me sobbing in the park btw so consider this a trigger warning.

I think I might prefer Ali’s PNR to her CR? Really enjoyed this despite the miscommunication/push and pull. Also Koen’s ridiculous swear words were jarring. I enjoyed this as much as Bride and consider the two books Ali’s best work. Hope we get another one!

I'm loving this so much, Minnie is very funny and honest, and I'm also loving listening to her read her own story.

Getting very tired of the daft swearwords. There is no reality in which a man like Koen would use the word “fuckwaffle”.

“Still, I don’t know that our lives necessarily needed a cult plot line”

I love the way Ali writes the conversations between Serena and Misery, makes the book so much fun to read!
