Recs if you like Hopeless...

yearning for so long that the MC finally snaps and has a fuck it moment. this hits the best when the relationship is taboo and they KNOW its wrong but give in anyway 🫨

fuck it and then fuck each other 🤷

self care romance books in all forms: mutual, solo, IRL, video call, phone, overhearing, walking in on, public space, etc etc.

if you hate the word ‘masturbation’, try: flicking the bean, jerking off, finger banging, rub one out, beat the meat, dj the vj, wanking, jerkin the gherkin, fapping; we can go on for days. whatever you call it, i just hope you reach climax ⛰️ toys encouraged but a hand (or two or three or-) will do just fine.

⚠️ CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS

howdy, neighbour 👋 this type of forced proximity hits different when you physically cant escape the person next door.

apartment neighbours: sharing a wall and they can hear 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 🏢

house neighbours: seeing them when you walk outside or catching a sneak peak through your window 🏠

time to decide if you’re ready to give your spare key to the hottie next door 🔑

romance books that use toys to heighten pleasure - solo or with a partner(s). dildos, vibrators, and some sprinkling of unconventional items 🥵 no cacti allowed

books where body hair gets removed through a variety of means and for a variety of reasons.

(and sometimes i’m emo about it 🤧🤧)

recs are welcome!

Romance books with characters and a romance that feels mature. There is no or very low drama in the romance itself. It's often a slowburn, sometimes medium burn and feels very natural. The characters are either emotionally aware, possess a decent level of emotional intelligence, or are actively trying to communicate even if it's hard. Aside from the romance there is ample time for the characters to have growth on their own.

Keywords; Mature, slow/med burn, no drama, steady, emotional security.

One hates everyone and the other smile too much. Somehow, it works — and now feelings are involved.

Let's gather all the no 3rd act breakup romance books we can. I want them to show us that even if they fight they'll work through it together🥹💗✨ feel free to give me more books to add to the list.

aka, romance with fake something; either fake dating, arrangement, or marriage.

'fake' here can mean either: arranged, forced, contract, convenience and many more

Books where the story is brought to another level by the character work, be it in the complex character building or the multi layered character arc. The writer made the characters like facets, every angle and every relation gives them yet another aspect to further deepen the dynamic between characters. Every bit of past revealed shows us the way they became who they are now. Leaving us with characters arcs that feel like an entire story on their own, and often impacts the romance.

Just a bunch of good ol' Cowboys, Ranchers, and Once Were's 😏🤠😌

Romance Books by Canadian Authors. All sorts of romance (sweet, spicy, dark, light, different subgenres, etc.) so long as it's CanLit.

Have not read all of these, based on Pagebound users knowledge of CanLit Romance as well as my own. Trying to have at least one for each author. Slowly populating this so if you have recommendations, I will happily add them.
