π³οΈβπQueer Graphic Novels+π³οΈββ§οΈ
LGBT*+ graphic novels / comics / manga +
Fluff to smut, including 18+ etc aka not exclusive to anything specific other than being queer content (queer & queer-rep inclusive stories). I have read a good handful of the ones now at the bottom of the list. Includes intended middle-grade-ish-level youth content to adult audience content.
In progress / updated over time
(recs highly welcome) Attempting a highly exhaustive list.

Lesbian History, Politics, Culture & Identity
β online discourse, βοΈ holistic knowledge fiction & non-fiction that will deepen your understanding of sapphism, its language/label evolution, and its intersections with bipoc, gender diversity and bisexuality. (please note βlesbianβ terminology was originally an expansive umbrella openly inclusive of fluid sapphics when many books were published, and not all identify as specifically/exclusively wlw!)

Every graphic novel ever
I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. Iβm not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.
Also manga is not included.

Beloved Butchfemme: Masc x Fem Lesbian/Sapphic Rep
queer butch/femme & masc/fem fiction i adore <3 not every character on this list might identify as a woman, a βnon-manβ or a sapphic/lesbian, but all these pairings still remain closely related to lesbian/sapphic butchfemme culture.

Everybody Get More Bisexual Butchfemme Right Now!
we owe lots of great butchfemme (and derivative masc/fem) rep to bi, pan, queer & unlabeled characters, often by bi+ authors! bi, aspec & trans folks are historically essential participants of butchfemme lesbian/sapphic/queer culture. these books have plurisexual character(s), sometimes through implied attraction transcending gender rather than explicit labels; this includes intersections with gender diversity and asexual/aromantic spectrums. check out my other list on bi butches/studs/mascs!

Soft Books for Grief
These are books that deal with grief, but feel gentle. It's a lot of graphic novels and even some kid's books. A lot of these are stories that are light or made me feel held in a way. The nonfiction ones had good facts, but were also reassuring and/or didn't involve a lot of heavy details that some grief books can have.
