I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. I’m not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.

Also manga is not included.

A list of single-volume (or self-complete omnibus) manga and graphic novels covered by the club at Next Chapter Booksellers in St. Paul, Minnesota.

These are books that deal with grief, but feel gentle. It's a lot of graphic novels and even some kid's books. A lot of these are stories that are light or made me feel held in a way. The nonfiction ones had good facts, but were also reassuring and/or didn't involve a lot of heavy details that some grief books can have.

if only i knew straightness wasn’t a requirement in the kinds of books i loved. always updating with more! mostly angsty romance, instrospective scifi, cozy fantasy.

This is mostly romance because that seems to be what is mostly written for xmas-themed books, but if anyone has any other recs I would love that!

I love YA. It can suck pretty bad when the books try to copy each other. But when some of those gems pop up...wowza! Who knew you could tell such a hard-hitting story without having to resort to 1,000 pages & sex?
