screaming into the pillow
Phew. Ok, I'm good now.
I wasn't sold from the start, it was a bit too info-dumpy and too SJMy at the beginning. I was kind of preparing to DNF it, when I noticed I unwillingly kept thinking about the plot. The same day I was reading until 3 am.
I got swept, and not only by excellent, full of drama romance, but by the world building, the intricate magic system, and the action sequences.
I feel humbled and feel super shitty for making assumptions. Have so much good to write about this story, but simply can't. I'll die if don't start reading the second part right away.
